Add past purchases with Barcode Scanning..

We realized that many of you don’t have receipts handy when you download the app. And instead of waiting for your next grocery haul, you want to get started by adding what’s already in your pantry. So, we decided to fix that for you.

That’s right – we're jazzing up your pantry game with a yet another upgrade: Barcode Scanning! :)

Now scan items already in your pantry and fridge.

It’s super easy to use. Just find ‘Add Past Purchases’ in you Pantry add menu and hold up the camera against any Barcode. CutWaste will identify the item and estimate it’s expiry date based on the assumption that it is already in your pantry and has already been opened. If this is an unopened item, you can always edit the item to mark it as unopened.
